Taking snapshots is a very useful and often overlooked tool in Photoshop. I use it to compare different black and white conversions. I may convert photograph to black and white using three different techniques and click a snapshot of each one and then you can click through all of them very quickly to see which one you prefer. Snapshot is found in the History palette right here looks like a little camera. We are going to show you another use for this. I have my black and white photograph here. I am going to convert it to duotone mode. Now you can create your own presets of duotones and I will show you how to do this in another tutorial. I also include on this CD my own set of presets so you can experiment with those. So we will try coal, ok, then you click the little camera here and you revert back to the original. Load, let's try this one here. Revert back to the original. As you can see, it’s very convenient for clicking through these to here are very close and seeing which one you prefer.
