Microsoft Outlook 2000 is somewhat like an electronic diary, for either personal or business use. Use Outlook to keep track of daily or weekly tasks, to remind you of important meetings or other events, to send emails, and to store contact information of clients or friends. Virtual Training Company's tutorial will provide you with the knowledge you need. After introducing the interface, author Zoe Barnett will explain how to use the many aspects of Outlook to help get or keep you organized. She will show you how to make appointments, invite others to a meeting, delegate tasks, create journal entries, and more. Learn how now by clicking a topic that interests you below.
Welcome to VTC's training CD on Microsoft Outlook 2000. My name is Zoe Barnett and I'll be taking you through these series of lessons. Microsoft Outlook 2000 has number of modules that can handle your email, calendar events, contact list or database. And you can set tasks or reminders of things you need to do and other important information. Outlook is flexible enough to handle both your personal and your business schedules. You could compare Outlook to a filofax or a diary, where you organize day to day, week to week or even yearly activities with efficiency, and this makes Outlook one of the most popular programs in the Microsoft Office suite. For those of you who haven't used Outlook since 97, you are going to welcome the enhancements of 2000. And for those of you who are new to this program entirely, you are going to find that learning how to organize your private and business life can be accomplished with relative ease. Let's take a look at how we open up Outlook for the first time. You can double click this icon on your desktop, or you can come down to start, up to programs and select the Outlook program from your list. And that will bring you into Outlook and you will be able to view its interface from here. The Internet email component of Microsoft Office 2000 is a vast improvement on email of previous editions. And it makes up a solid part of this training module as a whole. We'll focus on this after we've learnt some ground tools and some fundamental useful functions of Outlook. So without further delay, let's get started. 0:01:49.0
