Gestures. Now because of the way we're using the screen capture to capture the video for these tutorials, really difficult to show gestures, we're not using video camera. But I'm going to walk you through a couple of these, some of them that aren't quite as obvious as others. If you just jumped right in without reading anything. So for instance let's go into Mail and one of my favorite gestures and here's the swipe. So you hold your finger and move it across the E-mail and it brings open either the archive or delete. We're going to archive that. So it's kind of push, hold and swipe over to one side. You can swipe backwards to close it. So that's one that I really enjoy. Another one would be undo or redo. So I'm going to go into pages and this is really hard to show because you can't see the video but I'm going to type something. Alright and I'm like, "Wait, you know what? I don't like that." So I'm going to shake my device and it brings open the undo. I'm going to shake it again now redo shows up. Shake it again, type Cancel. So that allows us a pretty easy way to get in and undo different operations that we're working on. So that's pretty cool. Now tapping, there's a lot of tapping going on and dragging. So I can swipe, in this case a little bit of flicking between the different pages. And tapping to open up an app. So the rest seem to be more and more commonly accepted. Things like going into maps and using two fingers to pinch, either in or out. And then holding down one and moving the other to rotate. So those are more and more common, the pinching and the rotating. Now with our devices sometimes when we drag from the edge of the screen something will happen. So we can drag from the top of the screen and that will open up on notifications. Sometimes going to the edge of the screen makes a difference such as when we're moving our apps around. Move to the edge of the screen, move back to the other edge. So sometimes the edge plays an important role. Okay. So that's a brief look at just talking about some of the gestures that are out there. If you're having a hard time with these, go to the videos at Apple.com and they've got some great videos showing you just some of the gestures. But what we wanted to look at just some of the ones that I think that we're going to need as we go through some of these tutorials. And again as we get into different topics I will often teach you about a gesture that helps in a specific situation which may not necessarily be as appropriate to discuss now as an overview. But really when we get into more specific areas, that's when it's going to be a big deal. Okay. Let's move on from gestures.
