Programs and Services Youll Need / HTML Editor
Subtitles of the Movie
Chapter 3 is essentially a checklist of the programs and services, in other words the software and the web services that you’ll need in order to create a website. I’ll quickly run through your options. Show you what's available, give you some examples of each one and show you where you can get them. Of course you don't really need all of these things. As I mentioned before you can get by basically with just Notepad, Windows Notepad if you’re using Windows and their own basic FTP program and very little else in order to create a website, but fairly quickly you’re going to outgrow those basic programs and want more power and that's what this chapter is for. Now we’ve already covered the HTML editor. Recall that I told you that you could use a basic text editor and an advanced text editor or a WISIWIG editor and I showed you some examples of each. Notepad, Textpad and Microsoft FrontPage. I will not go into your choices of HTML editor any further. I am just mentioning HTML editors now because they are naturally one of the things that you will need. In fact they are probably the most important thing that you will need to create a website. Okay, this is obviously a very short module, let’s move on to something that you don't already know.
