I'm Mike Jang and I've had the pleasure of creating this course for you. I'm also the author of a number of other Linux titles, including several associated with Linux certification. As I finish up this course, I'm also finishing up the revision of the 5th edition of the RHCE Study Guide. That's for the Red Hat Certified Engineer credential. Remember, the RHCT, that's Red Hat Certified Technician, is a complete subset of the RHCE, so if and when you do pass the RHCT exam, you'll have done much of the work required to get your RHCE credential. Yeah, when I was changing careers a while back, I started out by studying for the MCSE and got it for the NT4 series of exams, but while I was doing this, I took a Linux course and I've been sold on this open source operating system and the associated philosophies ever since. When you study this course, remember it's based on practical skills, so the best way to study is to take the topics discussed and practice them again and again. Thank you and good luck.
