During your exam you may be told to diagnose and correct networking service problems where SELinux contexts are interfering with proper operation. The simplest way to diagnose such problems is with the SELinux Troubleshooter. It can be opened in a GUI with the sealert dash b command, and look at that. That's a very convenient tool. Note how it describes the problem, including a problem summary, a detailed description, as well as a potential solution. Generally, the solution is associated with some sort of restorcon, or sesetbool command. Sure you could do this in the GUI, but why bother when the command line solution is right there in front of you. If you don't have access to the GUI you could still get to the troubleshooter using the alerts in the audit log file. Specifically, with the sealert dash a command, including the name of the audit log file. It takes a moment to process the file, and then whoosh! That's a lot of problems. So, let's pipe this to the less command so we can take our time paging through the problems. And note how it has the same sort of summary, detailed descriptions, as well as a suggested solution. Wow, how about that. That's it for the troubleshooting options associated with the Red Hat Exam Prep Guide. Now, it's on to the final chapter on installation and configuration requirements.
