When you are ready to establish Online Services you will simply go to the online Menu right within Quicken. Here you'll notice a number of tools. You will have the ability to get a host of help. You'll be able to directly to Quicken Bill Pay Services, to Passwords, and a variety of other information. Bill Pay is the most automated method within Quicken. You will notice that this will allow you to view and pay your bills directly on the web. To manually establish all of your accounts, you can simply schedule updates or use One-Step Update. You'll even notice that a summary will be created for you so you can see everything that you're going to update in one place. When going into One-Step Update, you will have the choice to activate each account. Now, each account that you have must be activated individually. We will discuss those procedures in our next movie. When activating these accounts, please know that you do not have to activate every account you have. You can pick and choose as many as you'd like. Notice also, at the bottom of the screen you have Manage My Passwords. It is particularly important that you go ahead and change these passwords on a regular basis. Now, you'll have one of two choices with working with updates. You can manually choose to return to this screen and update now or you can schedule the updates and then it's worry free. Notice the circle with the question mark. That'll immediately take you to Help. If you have any other questions, just go to Help and you'll see how fast it is to find your solutions. Returning to the online Menu, you will also notice that you can get an immediate list of participating financial institutions. Most banks will participate with the Quicken online Services; however, keep in mind that there are some that do not. It is always a good idea to check with your bank first and make sure they are part of the Quicken online Solutions. Now, Quicken Bill Pay is probably one of the easiest ways to establish these accounts. This is a fee-based service however. You will find that Quicken will charge a nominal amount, but it'll take all the headaches out of the updates. Let's go over to the Internet and see what is offered by Quicken. First, when I go to Quicken.Intuit.com, I will find the online Bill Pay Solution. Now, your menu will take you directly here. The first thing you will notice, it'll outline all the features and benefits. There's even a movie that will take you step by step through the features. Here you can find out exactly what services that you will receive. Off to the right-hand side you will notice that Quicken will talk to you about what the cost of the service is and what's offered within that service. You'll also notice that it will offer you other services at the same time, such as credit cards. You will find as you go through you will have the ability to opt out of any services that you do not want to receive. Quicken will also take you through step by step the information on how to choose, what products that they have, support-related issues, and your own personal sign-in for your Online Services. You may want to take a few moments and visit this online screen. When I close out of the Online Services, you will see I've been taken directly back to Quicken. On the online Menu, once again I can continue with the Bill Pay or I can go to Quicken on the Web and go directly to support or Quicken.com. Here's the credit card offer that we saw earlier and here's our Bill Pay that we talked about. The Online Services are very easy to set up. The biggest component to remember is that they vary from institution to institution. You'll need to really go to your bank first and follow their procedures.
