Hi. My name is Lauri Sowa-Matson and it is my pleasure to take you through the overview of Quicken and its features. I'm a successful business owner with 30 years of accounting and administrative experience. I started my career in general office and worked my way through a variety of secretarial, administrative and accounting positions. Over the years I worked in a variety of different jobs within an accounting structure. My final position in corporate America was as a Chief Financial Officer for an international distribution firm. After working my way up the ladder in corporate America, I chose to go into my own business and now operate a successful accounting and computer firm. In the arena of accounting, I work with a number of businesses, individuals and sole proprietors. A mainstay of my business is helping people achieve their goals through the use of budgets and planning. In addition to my consulting practice, I also work as a college instructor. Here I concentrate on courses in accounting a computerization including the Microsoft arena of programs and the Intuit family of programs, including Quicken and its sister program, QuickBooks, along with the popular tax software preparation program TurboTax. I'm also a national seminar instructor and over the last ten years have had the opportunity to train over 15,000 students. I am grateful for you being here today. I do want to thank you for joining me and would like to encourage you on your path for continuing education. Please remember; with any computer program, it is in using it that you really master it.
