Well, we've seen how we can work with our Address Book information from our Macintosh within Bento. I'd also like to show you hw to work with iCal information. So here we are back in our Bento Window. Before I add in my iCal information, I want to go ahead and clean this window up a little bit by hiding my field information. That gives me more room over on the left-hand side so that I can display my iCal information. So I'll go into File, Address Book and iCal Setup, Select Display iCal Data in Bento, click on OK and there my information is over on the left-hand side. I've got my libraries for iCal events and iCal tasks. I'm going to switch over to Table View so that you can see all of my appointments that I have in my iCal calendar and you'll notice that within my iCal calendar, I have actually three specific calendars: My Work, Home and Work. Now, what I want to do is be able to show these calendars, two of the three anyway, of My Work and Work separated out so that I can see those individually and also I want to make sure that when I add a new event in iCal, that it automatically shows up here in Bento. So the way to accomplish that is to add a collection but not just a regular collection. I need to add a Smart Collection. And the Smart Collection will allow me to set some criteria and automatically find any iCal events that meet that criteria. So I went to File and I selected New Smart Collection and now I'm going to go ahead and name the first collection just Work Cal and over in the upper right-hand side here you can see that I can set some criteria. And the criteria I'm going to give it is Calendar, which is a calendar name, is equal to work. That's my first calendar. So I'll click on Find and there I have three events that are within that calendar. I'm going to go ahead and do the same routine again, Smart Collection and you'll notice that the Smart Collections are very much like if you've worked with iTunes, for instance, it's very much like adding a Smart Playlist within iTunes; very much the same idea. So this calendar collection we'll call My Work and again, the calendar name is equal to; instead of work we'll just put the word My in front of that. That should do just fine. Click on Find and there we have it. And that's how you can add Smart Collections to any one of your libraries, not just iCal. It could be for Address Book or any one of the libraries that you set up. But that is how you add in a Smart Collection.
