The Dreamweaver workspace is set up to allow you to view documents and object properties. The workspace also places many of the most common operations and toolbars in windows so you can quickly make changes to your documents. In this movie, I'll be reviewing and giving you an overview of the Dreamweaver workspace. There are slight differences between the Windows workspace and that that you'll see on the Macintosh operating system. In Windows, Dreamweaver provides an all in one window. The Dreamweaver workspace is designed to let you view documents and object properties. The workspace places many of the most common operations in tool bars and menus so that you can quickly make changes and adjustments and modifications to your documents. In Windows, Dreamweaver provides an all in one window integrated layout. In the integrated workspace, all the windows and palettes are integrated into a single larger application window. In the Mac operating system, Dreamweaver can display multiple documents in a single window with tabs that identify each document. Dreamweaver can also display floating workspaces in which you have free-floating windows that you can move anywhere about the workspace. You can also dock these free-floating windows so they become integrated back into the workspace. Panel groups are initially docked together but can be undocked. You can see these by choosing one of the panels from the interface. Notice that these panels are all docked together. You can also group them into groupings that will allow you to select each panel via a tab. Notice that I can take these docked panels and undock them at any time so that they are free-floating windows and re-dock them to different places in the interface. I find that this interface, in which you have these docking panels that can be stacked on top of each other and move freely, takes a little bit of getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, you'll probably really appreciate the freedom and convenience that these docking applications and features give you. You can drag and drop them to different locations, have free-floating windows that you can resize by clicking on the edge of the window and dragging to make smaller or larger, as well as group the various panels into different organizations and groupings, depending on how you wish to work.
