The Tool Palette / Scissor Tools
Subtitles of the Movie
The scissor tool allows you to cut items by adding Bezier points or end points. When you select on the scissor tool and navigate over to an item, the scissor tool icon displays over a valid line or a valid box. When a picture is cut, its contents are deleted and where you made the cut is a Bezier point. When a text box is cut, it is turned into a text path and so the text retains the local formatting and style sheets that have been applied. However, we have the text running around and a Bezier point so the segment adjacent to the cut clockwise becomes the active portion of the line, and the text flows clockwise starting at this segment. When a text path is cut, it is converted into two linked text paths. The text retains the local formatting and all the style sheets that have been applied.
