QuarkXPress 5 Tutorials
The Tool Palette / Text Box Tools
Subtitles of the Movie
The standard shaped text box tool allows you to create 5 predefined shapes of text boxes. These are containers for text. You have a rectangular text box tool or a square, you have a rounded corner, a concave, and a beveled text box. You can also have an oval text box or a free form text box, all of those found on the text tool. And you can also choose the points by clicking and dragging. Select any one of the text boxes and then click and drag. You’ll have a cross hair pointer and as you click and drag to the shape that you want, when you’re satisfied, release. You can restrain to a square or a circle text box by holding down the shift while you’re dragging. When you’re satisfied, release and you now have a text.
