Rulers and guides give your precise control in your document layout. To display your rulers and guides navigate up to view and down to show rulers. Your units, if you wish to change them are under edit and preference and preferences. And if you navigate down to the document measurements, you have an opportunity to change your units under the horizontal or the vertical. In order to display your guides navigate up to view and down to show guides. The margins are preset navigate up to edit and down to preferences. And this time to application display your margins are set at blue or your ruler guides are set at green and for the web your grid is set at pink. In order to position a ruler guide, click on the ruler with your mouse and navigate over to your document and when you’re satisfied with the position release your mouse. While you’re within the bounds of the page, your ruler will be within the page. If you wish to have your ruler outside the page hold your ruler on the pasteboard and release, to pull a vertical line down inside the page boundaries release. To remove a ruler click on it with your cursor and drag it off to the ruler and release, click and drag and release.
