You can paste boxes and lines of any shape into text and this makes them act like characters and flow with the text. So to anchor boxes and lines into text, select the item tool and then select the item that you want to anchor. Choose edit and then either cut or copy. Select the content tool and place the text insertion point into the text where you want to anchor the item. And now navigate up to edit and down to paste. The object will be anchored where at the text insertion point and you can do almost anything to the anchored shape. You can select it and reshape it, resize it, you can add a frame, and you can change its content from a picture to a text box and vice versa. By selecting the text anchor, you can change the base line up or down. Be careful though because when the object hits the line below, it’s going to knock out your leading. To delete the anchor, select it and press the delete key.
