When you click to close a library palette, QuarkXPress automatically saves the changes made to your library. You can however, navigate up to edit and down to preferences and preferences, and under the application save, check auto save library. This option can make working with libraries just a little bit slower. And when you quit QuarkXPress any of the libraries that are open are automatically closed and saved.
