Once a list has been created and you have chosen the levels, the numbering, and the format as options and it has been saved, now you can use the list palette to preview and to build the actual list. Navigate up to view and down to show list and then show the list for your current document. You can choose the name of the list that you want to build from by choosing a name under the pop-up window. The list will preview in the scrolling window on the palette. In the same document that you are in, if you choose the content tool and then click on an empty text box to create an insertion point, it can be the new box or the first in a series of the link boxes. And then you can build by clicking on the build button in the list palette and this will generate the list in that box.
