The Interface / Cameras pt. 2

Subtitles of the Movie

Let's take a look at the remaining Camera Controls. We'll go ahead and start off by using these guys here. We have this little hand crossed guy that allows you to move your object along the X-axis by simply clicking and moving left and right and you can also go into the Z-axis by clicking and moving in or out like so. Now, by the way, if you ever zoom in too far, definitely check out the lesson on how to Restore things, but I'll just quickly show you, it's under the Edit Menu, Restore, Camera and that puts you back where you were. We also have these little guys here. These will help us to control how we deal with our Camera. For example, we can Roll, we can Scale with this guy here and we can also change our Focal Length. This guy here is our Trackball and we can use it to roll around in our Viewport. Now, likewise, what you can do is use your keyboard to help you out with that. I typically don't like to use the Trackball because I could do it myself by holding down either Alt or Option, depending on whether you're on a Mac or a PC, but on a Mac the keyboard has both buttons anyway so you can go ahead and click and the Viewport itself, by holding down that button and simply moving your mouse and dragging it inside the Viewport like so. So, this is a great way to see your entire scene, simply by holding down that keyboard combination. So, those are the remaining Camera Controls. Don't forget, though, you can always go to Edit, Restore, Cameras. You can also access your Cameras right by going here and right-clicking on where it says Main Camera or whatever camera you're on, choosing a Camera View and you can also click on this text here and choose a Camera. You can even get to the Flyaround Camera or any Camera that you want to right from this menu. And that is how you can use the Camera Controls inside of Poser.
