And now Masterpiece Theater brings you another episode of About the Artist, starring Dwayne Ferguson from Virtual Training Company. Thank you. Hello, everyone. My name is Dwayne Ferguson, as the announcer said so appropriately. I'm the CEO of Diehard Studio and when I'm not creating tutorials for VTC which I love doing I am also doing all kinds of crazy and wacky things in my own career. As you can see on my website at diehardstudio.com, I work on all kinds of things because I have a very short attention span and I get bored easily, which is a good thing if you're a creative person because you'll bounce around from one discipline to another. So, pretty much my career started off in the 80s with a comic book series called Hamster Vice and these characters are still going, believe it or not and I'm even working on an iPod, an iPhone game called Hamster Vice: Roach Wars. Realtime Strategy. So that's coming out sometime this Fall. I also you know, based on the comic book series of Hamster Vice, I'm currently working on an animation also on the Tell-Tale Heart. I'm doing my own adaptation and it stars the voice of Janet Hubert from the Fresh Prince of Belair, that's good times right there. I currently also write a children's book series called Kid Caramel, Private Investigator and I was also the Art Directory of an animated television show called Mutant League which was a lot of fun to work on. So, what I like to do is tell you all this stuff so that you can get motivated and psyched up and pumped up to create some great content of your own. Pretty much everything you want to do you can learn if you take your time and every course on VTC actually features software that I use every single day - from Maya to Modo to Photoshop and Illustrator - all these applications you can learn more about at the VTC website. I just want to encourage you to practice every day. Sketch everywhere you go. Bring a sketchpad. Be that weird guy sitting in front of the museum sketching Tutankhamen. I mean that's how you get better and better. And if you go to your museum there's always somebody sitting on the stairs with a sketch book.
