In this movie, we're going to take that Alpha and we're going to make a brush out of it. So, Alpha, and I'm going to clean this up some, I'm going to actually go Preferences, Initialize ZBrush, and hit Yes, and go in here and load that Alpha. Import, Pokey. See, Pokey is actually the reverse, so I what I'm going to do is go Inverse on Pokey, so down here I have the Inverse button. There we go. Well, now I need to actually sculpt on something just to kind of give you an idea of what Pokey looks like, right? Let's go to Macro and Make a Good Ball. Hit Geometry, divide, divide, divide, and I don't really want a lot of divisions here. There we go, a million polys, turn off Frame, and I'm going to take that Pokey brush and start tweaking it out with this and see what I can do. I want Dots mode on, then I want Color spray on. And I'm just going to rough up this surface. Very nice. Very cool. It almost looks like rust. Okay, and then I'm just going to do some Subtracting values on the other side here and there we go. I got a Subtraction and an Adding. And what I want to do here is use this ball, just like these balls, to produce a thumbnail for it. So that document size is very specific. Take Pro off, Document, New Document, No. Document and type in 108 by 108 and hit Resize. Okay, and I'm going to click and drag out this little ball and hit Edit. This is what I want, so I'm going to say Document, Export and I can export this anywhere. It doesn't really matter. So, I'm going to export it to the Desktop and call it Pokey; Pokey 2, because there's already a Pokey Alpha. There we go. Now, let's go to the Brush menu and I need to Clone a brush first. This is the brush I'm going to clone. I'm going to clone this and now I have a Standard 1. Okay, now I have the Standard 1 activated, but you notice something that I didn't have to switch anything. What I want to do here is select an icon for it, and it's going to ask me for that Icon. I want Pokey 2. There we go. I've got Pokey 2 is this, I have my Stroke Alpha, I could adjust my curves if I wanted to. I can go out and make this brush perfect, and then at the very end I hit Save As, and this brush actually gets saved in a very specific place. Program Files 86, Pixologic, ZBrush 3, ZStartup, Brush Presets, and I'm going to call this Pokey 2. Hit Save, and when I open up ZBrush the next time around I will have this mounted in here always. All right! So that is making a brush. Now, essentially you know, everything is with this brush too, so you can save this brush out onto your Desktop even and share it with people on the Internet, and you'll find that a lot of people do that.
