Subtitles of the Movie
When I have the text tool selected then I can see my controls for text will allow me change my font. Let us try the allegro font that might work but I can always change it after I type, and the title for this is going to be gratuitous violins. We can't see that very well yet, so let us increase the point size. And let's move it over and go to our text section in the objects palette. Those of you that are familiar with earlier versions of painter will notice that no longer does text come in as individual shapes for each letter or each portion of the letter, but now we have special text layers. So, I can, going back to the text section now, give this a drop shadow, which makes it considerably more visible. In fact I can see where I misspelt violins rather seriously; I will just go back in there with the text tool and change that. So I will eliminate this 'i' and enter an 'l', there we have 'Gratuitous Violins'. I can change the alignment, in fact I think I'll have flush right alignment, that means I need to move all of the type over. Let's bring it to that point. Maybe even a little bit lower, I can change the font if I wish; let us find some other font here. Actually, if I move this over enough to see the current type I can get a view for what the change will be even before I click OK. So, let's try something else, that's rather nice, but let us try something else; and let's play around a little more with the drop shadow. I can choose to change my settings for either text or shadow, let us do shadow; and have its opacity be slightly less and have the blur it slightly more. Maybe with the blur I can increase the opacity a bit more, it's looking good. Let us play round a little bit with the color; what would happen if I give it a Blue. Ooh, I'm working with the shadow. I forgot, so I could give the shadow a different color, but let us not do that. Let's bring that shadow back to black and let us play with the color on the text, which is what I meant to do, give it a blue text, that's not bad, that's even better. So I'm going to call this done and select all and drop all; and there we have it.
