Face Collage / Make Extreme Distortion

Subtitles of the Movie

Well I've changed my mind again. I was playing around with a number of possibilities here, and I think I'm finally going to go with something rather surreal. So I have mouth open without reducing its size. So it's going to pretty much cover most of the face but I'll have an eye closed, and with the option or the Alt Key on the PC down, I'm going to simply drag a copy of that eye. And sure enough, it makes for another layer. And I'll flip that horizontal for realism sake. And I will also do a distort on the eye: that means, I can pull the corners independently of each other. And that's going to look pretty very much the way I want it, in fact I'll get rid of the other one so that I can make a copy; option key or Alt Key down to drag a copy and another flip horizontal. So, we now have the two eyes and the big mouth OK, so the way we are going to blend these into the face is through the use of masks, and with the eye, let's begin with that eye and open up the masks section, we choose mask although we don't necessarily want to look at it. In fact we don't want to look at it, that is that I want the eye mask visible and we'll need to paint with white. We are going to paint transparency into that layer. Now I'll go to the other eye, choose the mask for that eye and do same. So, now the hair is showing from the original face And we are going to have to cover up that eye there, maybe I'll switch to black so that I can paint back the opacity of that. So now we still have to figure out a way to get rid that black area from the original image. Well, let's turn to the mouth and the mask for the mouth and go back to white, and paint away some of the edges so we can blend it into the canvas photograph. We are going to bring back translucency in that spot, so we don't see the original eye quite as much. I might want to actually move that mouth over just a little bit and touch up some of the mask. If I now drop all, I'll be able to do some touching up perhaps by covering up this black area with a flesh tone. I like using oil pastel for that, and I simply pick up a flesh tone by holding down the option or the Alt key on PC to get that flesh tone, and then I'll make some finishing touches with my grainy water smear tool. Once again a little bit of adding some flesh tones and there with the oil pastel and I think that makes a statement. Well there's definitely something missing here I think we should give her a nose, a little tiny nose There's just about enough space for one so let's bring back this cute little nose and reduce it in size to about 25%. And that is just fine, I'm going to zoom in and then work on that mask by painting with white. So, let's go and yes, we do have white, so I'll just get rid of those edges so they'll blend in with the rest of the face. By golly, I think we've done it.
