Introduction / How to Get the Most From This Course
Subtitles of the Movie
In this movie we'll go through an overview of the course structure and the resources that are provided to you within your course Work Files. Knowing what these Work Files are and how to utilize them and when is meant to help you get as much as possible out of this course. For clarification purposes, the purpose of this course is to specifically focusing on responding to risk and monitor and control risk, which includes the following processes: plan risk responses and monitor and control risk, the final two processes within the PMBOK Guide that pertain to the project risk management knowledge area. Our primary focus will be on the PMI RMP Exam but this course will benefit anyone looking to learn more about risk management. The course is Part 3 of a three-part series on risk management. You'll notice that each course is structured in the same way, with a brief introduction of the subject, an introduction of the processes covered, an overview of the process inputs, a detailed review of the processes tools and techniques and finally a look at the outputs of the processes, which in the majority of the processes of the risk management knowledge area involve updates made to the risk register. By the end of the course, we'll also have gone through workbook exercises, around 150 exam practice questions and a review of the terms covered throughout the course. There are several documents included within your Work Files so it's important that you know what these documents are and when to use them. Included you'll see project terms. The list of terms are also covered in the term review movies towards the end of the course and the term movies simply provide highlights of each term so additional notes may be necessary as you go through the process review movies. They are listed by order of appearance. You'll find documents labeled Workbook. There is one workbook document per section and each section has around five exercises and somewhere between five and ten exam practice questions. It's important that you go through the exercises before watching the review movies. There's 125 additional exam practice questions included, separate from the practice questions that are included within your workbook. It contains questions covering all of the risk management processes, giving you added value and review. Answers will be reviewed within the exam question movie section located towards the end of the course. You'll find a risk register update cycle document that is included in all three of the courses in this series. There's a document that highlights the difference between organizational process assets and Enterprise environmental factors. We'll also cover them briefly during the final portion of the course. There are two risk management knowledge area worksheets. These are blank so that you can practice filling them in to make sure that you remember the inputs, tools and techniques and outputs of each process and understand what the cycle and high-level picture looks like. And that covers all the documents within your Work Files. If you tend to skip exercises during your studies, I do recommend taking the extra time to go through the exercises recommended within the course and that'll provide you with extra practice and help in remembering and understanding the information. And that wraps up this movie and section.
