Subtitles of the Movie

In this move we'll pick up right where we left off in the previous movie, which was a review of question item number 6 from your Workbook Review Exercises. Remember that question 6 required that you match the content item listed with the process name shown on the left-hand side of your screen. We're picking up right where we left off, which is number 15: Actions to implement chosen response strategy. This occurs in process E Plan Risk Responses. The next item, List of potential responses occurs in B the Identify Risk process. This might have been a confusing item since you saw the word “responses” in here. Remember that potential responses that are evident in the identification of risk can actually be documented. These potential responses are then utilized in the Plan Risk Responses process. Moving on to Content item number 17, Actual outcomes of project risk and risk responses. This occurs in F Monitor and Control Risk. Notice that it says “actual outcomes.” You can't have outcomes unless the work is already executed and this only pertains to the Monitor and Control Risk, since all of the other risk-related processes belong to the planning process group. Next, we have Ranking or priority list of risks. This occurs in F Perform Qualitative Risk Analysis. Number 19, Symptoms and warning signs of risk occurrence; these are developed in E the Plan Risk Responses process. The watch list of low priority risk is initially created in C Perform Qualitative Risk Analysis. Probability of achieving cost and time objectives are developed in D Perform Quantitative Risk Analysis. Risk grouped by categories. This occurs in C Perform Qualitative Risk Analysis. Prioritize list of quantified risk. This one is given away simply by the name; this is D Perform Quantitative Risk Analysis. Next, we have Contingency reserves of time and cost, and that's in E Plan Risk Responses. Content 25: Trends in qualitative risk analysis results; this one's also given away by the name, that's C Perform Qualitative Risk Analysis. Next, Contingency reserves based on quantitative analysis. This occurs in E Plan Risk Responses. You may have been thrown off because it says “quantitative analysis” here, and I also had mentioned previously that when you see analysis it's either C or D, but in this case, contingency reserves are only developed beginning in the Plan Risk Responses process, so hopefully you picked up on that contingency word. And the last item we have is Residual risk expected to remain. This one is in the E Plan Risk Responses process. And that concludes our review of the Workbook Exercises pertaining to the Risk Register.
