Subtitles of the Movie

In the previous movie we covered the first six questions of the Workbook Exercises pertaining to Communication. In this movie we'll cover the next set of 6, beginning with Question 7. Question 7 says: What communication method is preferred when dealing with stakeholders? That would be Face-to-Face Meetings. Question 8: There are a total of 11 stakeholders within a project. How many Communication Channels are there? To answer this question correctly you'd need to know the formula for calculating Communication Channels; that's n times n minus 1, all divided by 2. Here we plug in our numbers into the formula where n represents the total number of stakeholders, and then when you work it out you arrive at 55 communication channels. Question 9: Name at least one attribute covered within the Communications Management Plan. There are a total of 6 that we reviewed. These are: Information to be distributed; the Purpose; How Often; Time-Frame; Format or Medium; and Responsibility. And Question 10 also relates to Communications Management Plan, it says: Name at least 3 items that the Communications Management Plan provides. There were a total of 10 that we covered: Communication Requirements; Information to be communicated; Responsibility; Recipients; Method or Technologies used; Frequency; the Escalation Process; the Method for Updating or Refining the Communications Management Plan; and the Glossary of Terms; and lastly, the Guidelines for holding meetings. Question 11 says: Note down the Inputs of the Plan Communications Process, and your response should correspond with the Edition of the PMBOK Guide that you're using. The Third Edition has: Enterprise Environmental Factors; Organizational Process Assets; Project Scope Statement; and the Project Management Plan. And the Fourth Edition has: Stakeholder Register; Stakeholder Management Strategy; Enterprise Environmental Factors; and Organizational Process Assets. Question 12 is the same as Question 11 except we're asking here the Tools and Techniques of the Plan Communications Process. Again, your response should correspond to the PMBOK Guide version that you're using. The Tools and Techniques for the Third Edition include: Communications Requirements Analysis and Communications Technology. And the Fourth Edition has these same two Tools and Techniques, but it adds Communication Models and Communication Methods. Well, that wraps up the review of the Workbook Exercises relating to Communications Management, bringing this movie and this Section to a close.
