In this movie, we will now turn our attention to practice exam questions which are found within your Work Files. These questions contain a mixture of all the knowledge areas within the PMBOK Guide, including the project management Framework and social and professional responsibility. Each movie will focus on five questions at a time. If you haven't gone through the practice questions yet, I encourage you to pause this movie and first attempt to go through them. Let's go ahead and get started. The first question relates to the Integration Knowledge Area and touches on the components of the project management plan, which include the subsidiary plans that we've seen throughout the PMBOK course series. The first questions says the following are components of the project management plan except the procurement management plan, quality baseline, preliminary project scope statement and milestone list. The answer is C, the preliminary project scope statement, which is not a component of the project management plan. It is, however, an input of the development project management plan process. This tends to throw some people off and you'll notice that with many questions, the terms and definitions will seem familiar. Moving on to question two, deliverable 2.3.1 has just been assigned. What is the identifying number assigned to the next deliverable located on the same branch and level as the previous deliverable? Options include A, 2.3.2; B, 2.4.1; C, 2.4 or D, 2.3.1.1. The correct answer is A; 2.3.2. Remember that when a deliverable is located on the same branch and level, the end number continues to increase. One level up would be 2.3 and if it would have asked you for the next deliverable on the same branch but one level down, then the answer would have been B, 2.4.1. If the question would have asked for the next deliverable on the same branch but one sub-level down, then the answer would have been D, 2.3.1.1. Question three: which of the following is the most common type of dependency between activities. And we have A, start to finish; B, finish to finish; C, finish to start or D, start to finish. The correct answer is C, finish to start, which is also the most common presidency relationship that we see between activities. This is where the initiation of the successor activity depends on the completion of the predecessor activity. As a quick refresher, start to start is where the initiation of the successor activity depends on the initiation of the predecessor activity. Finish to finish is where the completion of the successor activity depends on the completion of the predecessor activity and start to finish is where the completion of the successor activity depends on the initiation of the predecessor activity. In question four, sunk cost refers to: A, the money lost when selecting one project for another; B, money already spent; C, money invested as a result of crashing the schedule or D, the cost of investing in the project. The answer is B, money already spent. By the way; a represents opportunity costs, C refers to crashing costs and D represents direct cost. And the final question for review in this movie, what is the accuracy level of three Sigma. Is it A, 99.985 percent; B, 99.73 percent; C, 95.46 percent or D, 68.27 percent?. Six Sigma is considered to be the highest level of quality, which is 99.95 percent; therefore eliminating A. Three Sigma is the next level down, which is 99.73 percent, making B the correct answer. And on a side note, C refers to two Sigma and D refers to one Sigma. That wraps up this movie on the first five question of the practice exam test.
