In this movie, we will review the Direct and Manage Project Execution Process workbook questions. You'll find the workbook questions within your work files. Keep in mind that the purpose of these questions is to practice going through the concepts of the process and also serve as an additional review. There are six questions within your workbook for this section, which we'll review in this movie. As you've probably notice with your workbook questions, we always begin with a review of the process's purpose. Direct and Manage Project Execution is responsible for literally directing and managing the project work. You'll see in a moment when we break it down further that it actually encompasses quite a lot. But this process in general executes the work defined in the Project Management Plan in order to achieve the project's requirements that are defined in the Project Scope Statement. Questions two through four cover a review of the process's inputs, tools and techniques and outputs. You may come across questions on the exam that ask you to identify which is not a tool and technique or an input or output of a given process. The trick is to understand the process so that you can logically recognize which fits and which doesn't. But if you'd like to test yourself to see how many you do know, simply print out a few pages of questions two through four from your workbook and test yourself periodically. Question five states the Direct and Manage Project Work Process is responsible for many things. Name at least three things that it's responsible for. Well, there are eleven items that you could have chosen from. Although you don't need to memorize this list, it's a good idea to be familiar with it since it's an overview of what the process entails. Let's take a look at what these items are. The first is accomplish project objectives by performing project activities, expending effort and funds, manage the project team, procurement, obtain quotes, bids, offers and proposals, select and manage sellers, obtain, manage and utilize resources, implementation of methods and standards, manage project deliverables by creating, controlling, verifying and validating them, manage risk, integrate approved changes, manage communications, implement approved process improvement activities and collect and report lessons learned. And question six states work performance information contains six primary pieces of information that are important for keeping abreast of the project progress. Name these six items. Work performance information is one of two outputs of this process that does not involve implementation or requested changes. The other is deliverable. Work performance information is responsible for collecting and compiling reports on the status of project activities. The six items that the question refers to includes first the project schedule and you can see a few items that are included within the project schedule; completed, non-completed deliverables, quality standards update, authorized and incurred costs, documented lessons learned and resource utilization detail. And that closed out our final workbook question for the Direct and Manage Project Execution Process.
