We'll now move on to Windows Server 2003. If you're installing ZDM7 on Windows Server 2003 then you have to have the Novell Client 4.9 Service Pack 1A as a minimum. Again, I recommend the latest client that is in general release for running on your production servers. You have to have LDAP, and you have to have at least eDirectory 8.7.3 installed. As with Windows 2000 the location that eDirectory is installed into must be shared as Sys, and it must be on Drive C for the Imaging components to work properly. Also as with Windows Server 2000, Terminal services must be in Remote Admin mode instead of Remote Application mode. And last, but not least, we'll move on to the Linux Servers, the Open Enterprise Server, or SUSE Linux. If you're installing on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9, or Open Enterprise Server 1.0 you have to have Enterprise Server 9 SP1 installed. You also have to have at least eDirectory 8.7.3. Again, I recommend the latest version that the platform supports. And you have to have LDAP turned On for eDirectory 8.7.3. You also have to ensure that Samba 309-2.6, the Samba Server, is installed on the SLES 9 or OES 1.0 platform. You can get that from the Red Carpet or YaST Repository inside the Operating System. And obviously you can install that from either the Command Line or from the X Environment. If you're installing on SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 or OES 2.0 you have to have at least eDirectory 8.8.1 installed on your Linux Server. You have to have LDAP installed for eDirectory, and again, you have to have the Samba Server installed, Samba 309-2.6. And you can get this software package from either the Red Carpet Repository for the Open Enterprise Server product, or you can get it from the YaST Repository for the SLES 10 product.
