In this lesson let's talk about deleting and printing files. Now if I want to get rid of a file I can go to my backstage and I can go to Open. Now this Recent Documents List, if I right-click on it I can remove it from the list but that does not delete it. Make sure you realize that, it only removes it from this list. I can go to My Computer, find the file that I want to get rid of, I can right-click on it and I can delete it. Simple and easy. Or a faster way a lot of people use just find it, wherever it's at, right-click on it, delete it or just hit your Delete key on your keyboard. You can click the file and then hit Delete on your keyboard. You might need to look through directories, find it and get rid of it. Now you can also delete off of your Skydrive. Maybe I don't need this Testing Digital Bookmarks anymore, I can check the box, go up there to Manage and delete it. It'll give me an option to undo it but if I really want to delete it I'll just close that out and let it finish itself up. Now for printing if I open a file here that I want to print. I won't go ahead and enable editing on this file. If I go to File and then Print I can change the copies I want up here. I can change which printer I want to send it to. I can even check out my printer's properties. This is a great area, I can choose whether I want to print the current page, if I want to type in what specific pages I want. Maybe I want to print odd, even. If you have styles, auto-text entries, you can actually print all of that into one document so you can have it as a reference later. Right here is where I can type in what pages I want. I can duplex things if my printer can do that. I would have to manually do that flip the paper in and out. I can collate them, how I want that done. Do you want to just one, two, three, four, five pages or do you want all the first pages together, all the second and so forth. Your orientation, do you want to flip it? Your letter size, if you're going to print on special sizes. Maybe you're going to print on envelopes, this is where you're going to change that. Your margins and how many pages per sheet. This is a really neat option. You can print more than one item on the sheet, works really well and quick. Right here if I had more than one page I could go through those pages with those arrows and over here is my zooming. I can zoom in and out if I need to make sure that I'm on the page that I want to print, I can zoom in on it to make sure I can read that text easier. Now you can print also from Skydrive. Let's open up Keyboard Shortcuts here. And let's go over to File and there's the Print Option. So let's click Print. Now it's going to create a printable PDF for me it's converting it. And I will view it, there it is and then I can print the actual file. So you can print your items whether you're on Skydrive in the Cloud or on your local computer.
