In this lesson let's take a quick look at the requirements for Office 2013. Now Microsoft also recommends that you install Silverlight besides looking at the specific elements of your computer system. Right here it shows us the processor speed we need, how much memory, hard disk space, et cetera. Notice the operating system for Office 2013, Windows 7, Windows 8 and then of course your servers. So Windows XP no longer is going to work for Office 2013. Your browser and your NET version. Now let me show you how to find out what you have. If you need to figure out your processor speed, your memory, your hard disk, you can simply right-click on your computer and go to it's Properties and right there you can see how much memory you've got, your processor. I've got my operating system type if I want to check that out. Office 2013 is supported for both 32 and 64 bit clients. Now another thing you can do is open up your computer and see if you have enough free space. Anymore most computers have a ton of hard drive space, you should have plenty. And then the other thing on our list there was to check for the .NET Framework. I'm going to go into my Control Panel and then open up my Programs List. This will tell me if I already have installed the NET Framework. Right there it is. So what you want to do is just verify that your computer or wherever you're going to install this can handle Office 2013. And last but not least don't forget you can go to Skydrive. I'm logged into my Skydrive, just go to Skydrive.Live.com. If you don't have an account yet you can create an account but then you can hold all of your files on the Skydrive Cloud. And then I also have a copy on my local computer.
