Personalizing Windows / Access the Personalization Window
Subtitles of the Movie
In this video you'll learn how to access the Personalization window to change the look and feel of Windows Vista. Past versions of Windows allowed you to change the display information in the Display Properties. Windows Vista has reorganized the display settings and related information including sounds and the appearance of the mouse pointer into the Personalization window. You can access the Personalization window in one of two ways. First, right click on a blank area in the desktop and then click Personalize. The Personalization window appears. You can also click the Start button and then click Control Panel. Click the Appearance and Personalization link. In the Appearance and Personalization window click the Personalization link to open the Personalization window. The Personalization window contains seven links to change the appearance and sounds in Vista: Window Color and Appearance, Desktop Background, Screensaver, Sounds, Mouse Pointers, Theme and Display Settings. You'll learn how to use these links to change the window's appearance and sounds as well as other window settings in this chapter.
