Now let's talk about getting your hands on a copy of Windows 7 just so you can play with it a little bit, OK? You'll notice, I hope you can read this URL, if you can't then just do a search, go to Google and search for Windows 7 Enterprise 90 day trial, OK? Now this should be available out there. If I scroll down you will notice some of the guidelines on usage on this, OK? This is a fully, functioning version of Windows 7 Enterprise which is the same as Ultimate but there's some things you need to know about here. First of all this is only good for 90 days OK? You have ten days to activate it, if you don't the system will shut down once every hour until you activate it, OK? It'll show you how in there, OK? This is a full working version; it will not require a product key, OK? Again when you get to the end of the 90 day period its going to shut down once every hour, OK? Now here's the next big one that you need to watch. This is offered for a limited time and will only be available through March 31st 2010. Now you will probably see some other copies of about this, there will be some virtual hard disk images out there at this time there is a VHD out there but it'll only work in Windows Hyper V, you need to be careful about that. Now once this is done if you load this on your machine you're going to have to wipe it, you can't upgrade this because this is the Enterprise Version, OK? So just be aware of that. Now they give you requirements and stuff, you can go download this on a 32-bit or 64-bit versions. What you need to do then is go grab Virtual PC and I'm just going to go search for Virtual PC 2007 and you'll notice that if I go to that website I can download this. Now, this is the Virtual PC, now I'm assuming you're in Vista or you're in XP. You can load Virtual PC and then you can install that ISO that you download with Windows 7 into a Virtual Machine on Virtual PC. But let me warn you, OK? The Aero glass effects and a lot of the really cool special effects on the User Interface won't function properly in the Virtual PC Environment. Now if you load the new Virtual PC inside Windows 7 then it'll work but that kind of defeats the purpose. If you want to get your hands on Windows 7 without doing away with your XP or Vista Environment this is the way to go. So install Virtual PC, then go out there and get that 90 day trial and you can be up to speed and be running on this, OK? So go out and down a Windows Search on Windows 7 Enterprise 90 day trial and you should be good to go. Now if you have a TechNet Subscription, all the versions are out there. If you have a MSDN Subscription all the versions are out there but I would strongly suggest go out there and get your hands on this and just kind of go through it. But again be very careful, if you're in this Virtual Environment some of the examples and things that you see me do here, you're not going to be able to do the same way. You're not going to see the full effect of them, OK? So that's how to get your hands on this. If you're not familiar with Virtual PC just go out to the Virtual PC site, download some of the information, learn how to set those things up. This is a cool way to keep up to speed on the various technologies that are coning out, OK? So that's how to get your hands on a copy of Windows 7. By the way, you can also just go out there and purchase it and install it on your machine and go through it. I don't think you're going to be disappointed if you go get this thing and go ahead and install it, OK? But there's a way to get it for free.
