Now one of the gadgets that you see on a lot of people's Desktops are the little Sticky Notes, the little post it type notes that we use in real life that people have started using. Well in Windows 7 this is included as a an App. If you go down to the Start Menu, click on the Start Button you will notice right here Sticky Notes and if I just click that it'll put it on the Taskbar and it gives me a Sticky Note up here. Now this for list type people, for people who manage by lists and reminders, you're going to love this thing. Notice this is a VTC Class test note, OK? Now to do another one I just click on the Plus Sign here and it'll bring it up. Now notice I can right-click on it and I can get different colors. I can do blue, ÒPick up your report from Bob,Ó that sounds nice and official right? And I need to do another one so let's do one and let's turn this one white and let's say, ÒMeeting with Jane at 4pm today. Alright and then let's do one more, just to make it fun right? You know you're getting old when this is fun. ÒGo to the Grocery Store,Ó most important note yet. Now what's cool about these things is I can just leave them out here and then I can go work and so I can open Word and I can do things right and these things are out there and they're kind of cool. But what's neat is if I click this they go to the front and if I click it again they go away and so all my notes are out there and you'll notice that I can push this up, make it full screen and I can work and then I'm like I wonder what my notes are and I can click that and it brings them right back. And I got the new report from Bob so I can just close this out and I want to delete this note and I'm done with it, OK? Now let's say that I'm kind of done for the day, I can right-click this OK, and I can close the Window and notice the Sticky Notes are gone now. They're nowhere around but if I go back out here and go back to Sticky Notes and just reopen it they're still there, it remembers them, OK? So until I delete them they're going to stay there. Now something else that's kind of cool with all these notes is I can resize them somewhat, OK? I can make them as wide as I want or I can make them as tall as I want or right I can grab this. Now there's something else real cool, notice that as I type I can leave myself little notes and it will just continue to make this longer and longer as it needs it, OK? And again when I'm tired of looking at them I just simply click them off and I can go on about my business, then when I need them back I can click them and say OK, I've got the test, that's done, I'll clear that one. Went to the meeting with Jane, when I got back I cleared that one off and all that's left for me to do is go to the grocery store and go home right? So this is Sticky Notes. Now it's been added, you no longer need it on the gadget bar over here; it is on your Start Bar as Sticky Notes. Go out and play with this, again if you're one of these note people you're going to love this thing, a lot of cool stuff going on here with this and this is a great way to kind of live your life in front of that monitor like so many of us do now a days and know exactly what you need to do and where you need to do it.
