We will be undergoing scheduled maintenance on May 20th, 2013 at 02:00 GMT.
And here we are, Windows is preparing our Desktop, we're in part 4 now of installing Windows and you'll notice we are installing Windows 7 Ultimate Version and it's going to click and hum here for just a second, prepare our Desktop. And then it should pop up, we'll be ready to activate and go. Now as you can see here and these videos of-on these installations can be like watching grass grow. But I always like to include those because just in case you're curious about what this installation is going to look like, it's kind of cool to see one before you actually jump into it. It gives you an idea when you watch a successful one happen and these things are kind of tough to record because resolution jumps around because to record one of these installations I have to do a Virtual Environment to do that. So I apologize for the resolution issues that pop up, but it gives you a chance to see what a good, clean, successful installation looks like and then you'll know what to expect when yours is installing and I can kind of go through some of the gotchas and stuff. And again let me reiterate that to this point I really haven't seen any gotchas in Windows 7 Installations. What you will see is when its expanding those files sometimes there is an unexplainable length of time that goes by. Again I've seen it go you know multiple hours but if you'll just leave it alone and just kind of let it burn away at it, it will eventually get it. As you can see here its now setting up my personalized settings for my Windows Desk Update and it'll just kind of click and hum and then eventually here I'm going to get my new Desktop and I'll be good to go. Now, I'll also tell you that on upgrades very, very similar to this, upgrades due tend to take longer. I've noticed that. But you will still see the same type screens, you'll see exactly the same type actions and then when you upgrade you'll - your programs are there, your files are there. I haven't seen anything really bizarre happen on upgrades. All of my icons and files are on the Desktop just like they were when I left and so what I'm going to do here again is pause and when something changes significantly I'll be back and let you see it. OK, this Windows Desktop Update is one of those situations where the installation will just seem to kind of like freeze up. It hadn't really frozen its working, you just have to sit and wait and just kind of go about your business and let it do its thing. This Desktop Update has been running now for probably I would say a good ten minutes and so our total time on this installation now is right at about, I would say about 40 minutes, OK? So we'll let the Desktop Update continue and then rejoin you when something exciting happens. OK, you'll notice that our Desktop Update has completed, it is now delivered our Desktop to us and you can see as things populate and here we go. We're now good to go and we can click and Start and everything is ready to run for us, OK? So I can right-click now and I can access all of the various pieces and parts of Windows 7 and so there's an installation that took about, let's see, 43-44 minutes start to finish and that's what a Windows 7 clean installation looks like.
