OK, now let's talk about Folder Options. This is another one of those things that changed and you can spend quite a bit of time looking for these sorts of things. But if you remember you used to anywhere in the Explorer Window we could click on a File and we could come up here to do Type in some of the previous versions and you don't see that anymore, OK? So if you go up to organize, if you get into the libraries, let me do that again, if I just left-click on the libraries down here and get in here. If I go to Organize you'll see Folder and Search Options ok and this is where I see that old standard Dialog Box for open each folder in the same window, each folder in its own window, single click to open item, double-click and then the Navigation Pane to show all folders automatically expand to the current folder. Whatever I want to do and then I can restore my defaults. The View Tab is where we can turn On if we want to see Hidden Files in our folders, OK? And then we can tell it to Hide Extensions for Known File Types. We can tell it to Hide Protected Operating Systems and I can turn that Off and I can turn that back On. So all those Options that we are used to seeing in some other places are out here, OK? And then I can apply these to this folder or to all the folders of this type, I'm just going to Cancel that and hop out of there, OK? Now- oh and I meant to show you, the other Tab on that, let me go back in there. The other Tab is for your Search Options. When you do a Search, a Search and Index Locations or Always Search File Names and Content OK? And then how to Search and various options there when searching non-indexed locations, exactly how do I want to handle that. So I can set all those, OK? Now, the next question that comes up, what if I'm looking at a document and its opening in the wrong program? A good example here is a Text Document. If I double-click this obviously it's going to Open in Notepad right? Well I want it to open in something else. I can right-click it and go to Open With and I can choose one of these or I can choose the Default Program and I can choose my program here OK, or I can click Browse and go find the program, OK? Once I find the program out there on my hard drive, do I always want to open this particular type application or this type file which would be a Text a .TXT file then I can tell it to always use the selected program to open this kind of file. So all my TXT's would happen that way, OK? So again, that's how your going to map those file types to the application that opens them and again both of these things are a little bit different then what they've been in prior versions and I wanted to save you an afternoon of going and trying to find these things or digging through the Help Files to try to find that, OK? So that's how you'll turn on those Hidden Files, the extensions and so forth and then actually go out there and set what program opens certain file types.
