System Requirements and Installation / Properties Sheets/Solution Explorer

Subtitles of the Movie

For now, let's go back to Visual Studio .NET. There we are, this web form is where your graphics, text and controls that control the basic functionality of your web application, anything, including the form itself that you place in your application, should give you access to it's own Properties window via the Properties window sheet. Let me show you how you get to the Properties window sheet is it's not already on your screen. Let's click this X, we'll get rid of it and then go to view and Properties window window, that'll bring up the Properties window sheet. You will use the Properties window sheet many, many times while you're developing Windows and web applications. Anything that can be set for any of the objects in your application can be set here in the Properties window sheet, There's another very key tool that you want to be familiar with, as you're building your solutions and projects, and that's the Solution Explorer. Let's go back and click on Solution Explorer, there it is, Solution Explorer for this particular project. As you can see there's a listing of some of the files that are available inside this project. You can look at code, you can view the designer, you can refresh, you can copy the project, and you can also show all the files, they are not shown by default. But if you click this button, you can show all the files. In this case there's only a few extra files that have become available. In some cases however, that might be the only way to get to all the files that you want to see in your project.
