System Requirements and Installation / Using Templates
Subtitles of the Movie
Now we're ready to make a project, so go to the menu, click file and then new, and projects, you can see we come to the same screen we were at before when we were creating our solution, only this time, let's click on Visual Basic projects, and as you can see here what this shows you is a variety of templates that are preset for making specific kinds of projects. We're going to start by making an ASP.NET web application project, so click on that template and let's go down here and name this miscellaneous web. Notice where it's being created at, http colon slash slash local hosts slash miscellaneous web. That's where we'll find it in our browser and we'll find it in a folder similar to that under IIS. I'll show you that in just a moment. Let's go ahead and create this project and see what we get. Creating a new website on the Web server and it builds you a series of files including WebForm1.aspx, and it automatically opens up the Properties window sheet. Again, the Properties window sheet is going to be very important, this is one of your friends, so don't forget about it.
