We've seen that the simplest way to interact with users is by using a Message Box. That enables you simply to provide information to the user, or to retrieve a value from them - once they have clicked a particular button. either OK, Yes, No or any of the other combination of buttons available. If you need to go beyond that as far as getting a response from your user, you can use an Input Box. In which case a user may enter a sentence or some numbers in response to a question that you ask them, and you can then return the value that they provide to you. We also looked at how to restrict the user using Application properties. Most specifically, we looked at DisplayAlerts to stop the dialog boxes displaying (for deleting a sheet for the example we saw). Then we also looked at the ScreenUpdating property, which stopped the action on the screen showing until we were ready to show that to the user. And we looked at the EnableCancelKey property, which provides the ability to stop the user interrupting the program by pressing control + break. So that concludes what we have seen. If you need to go beyond the rudimentary basics of Message Boxes and Input Boxes, you can always look into User Forms, which is an area which allows you to more fully customize dialog boxes to meet your particular requirements. So that's something you can research into more fully using the online help.
