Let's sweep up the shavings with this track markup feature. I just want to make sure we're clear on how it works. To review the whole process, you'll recall that we start with a base diagram and to turn on revision tracking, we open the tools menu and select track markup. And that brings out the reviewing task pane, you'll recall, and if we have the reviewing tool bar open, this gives us a little added functionality actually. Let's turn on markup tracking and remember, here I'm logged on as Susan E. Harder and again, if we have this tool bar up, what we can do is open the reviewer's drop-down to show or hide all revision layers. Remember that from before. In other words, that's the same options that we have over here; show markup overlays. We can select or deselect. Here's our commenting tool, which we've discussed already. We can step through the markup changes using these guys here. And here we have track markup in reviewing pane. Reviewing pane is just simple a toggle that allows us to turn the reviewing pane on or off and the track markup simply is a toggle for that function. Now, I wanted to show you this pen tool. This is kind of cool. Actually it's called an ink tool and the idea is we have people reviewing the document, maybe wanting to call out certain things. You see how that works? I can circle and make different changes. You can open this last tool here to make your thicker. You can change the color if you want to. So, and as long as markup tracking is turned on, it's all good. You can just add that in. You see what this says? Ink added. No problem. No muss, no fuss, no greasy aftertaste. And then we can come back to our pointer tool to get back in control of our document. So those are the basic elements of markup tracking. Now, if we decide to turn off markup tracking, what happens if we print the document you're probably wondering, because you notice that again, we have our page tabs over here; our original layer, we have an SEH layer and a TLW layer and what happens if we do a print preview here on the standard tool bar? Well, you should notice that sure enough, everybody's changes, I know this looks like a kindergartner's picture and I'm sorry about that, but everybody's changes or edits are being reflected here. Now, if we click close, you'll notice that there's one more button here; it's the delete markup. And we would use this, again, this is on the reviewing tool bar, view, tool bars, reviewing. And if we open this guy up here, we have delete markup overlays on current page, delete everybody's markup or just selectively a particular user. So if we just select Susan E. Harder, boom. You notice that she's gone from the reviewing list and all of her markup changes have been reversed in once, in one fell swoop, so to speak. Now, is this an undoable action? Yes, it is. But just know that this is here if you decide that you have taken advice, duly-noted advice, suggested changes from users and then you want to get rid of one or more of these markup overlays. You can just make the appropriate change. So by choosing delete all markup overlays, I've now brought this document back to this stage here. Admittedly, that's a fairly drastic thing to do, but it is what it is. It all depends upon your business needs in Visio 2007. What you need it to do.
