Subtitles of the Movie
In this movie, let's do one more thing with those text boxes. Let's look at find and replace. Find and replace is a quick, easy way to update your publications with new dates, with new people, with new business names, new addresses, new phone numbers, email accounts, so much faster than you digging through all your marketing materials and doing them one at a time. So make sure you know how to do find and replace. In my newsletter here, I use the word items. Let's say I think a better word is publications. So what I can do is go up to edit, I can go to the replace option. You notice I can do control H or I can do the find. I can do the control F and that would take me to the find and replace box. I want to do a replace option, so I'll click find what? I want it to find the word items throughout my publication and I want to have it replace it with the word publications. I can just have it find it first so I can read the area to make sure that's what I want or I can just hit replace all. It searched my publication, replaced it all, I've got it. You might want to check the find options if you want it to match the whole word, parts of words, the case and whether you just want it to start searching down the document. Everything previously you want it left alone, but from that point forward you might want it replaced. The find option is a great idea if you want to just find certain areas. If you have a great, big brochure, because it might be a hundred, two-hundred page brochure or catalog, you can just type in the item that you're looking for. If you're selling computers, type that in, take it there so you can look at that. Maybe you want to look at the section on books that you're selling so you can look at that, update it. Much faster than going through it page by page. So use the find and replace option. Remember those little shortcut keys, the control F, control H, much faster for you.
