Subtitles of the Movie
In this movie, let's take a look at creating fliers. Click on the fliers link. Fliers, of course, are available in different designs and blank ones. But you can create fliers to sell something, to simply advertise something that's going on within your business or just for fun. Let's open up the tabs flier and zoom in on that information. Right here we can put our business name and of course, the specific product we're selling and right here we explain our reasoning. Then down here at the bottom, of course, we can play with that picture or if we don't like it, just hit delete, go to insert, picture, clip art. Let's do some searching here and plop that picture within our flier. Ok? Again on fliers, contact information is primary, very important. Make sure you give your business information in here. And your business name, of course, again is always repeated several times within documents to help people remember and of course, phone numbers, faxes and emails. Again, contact information maybe changed; the color of that or change the background color to really make it stand out so people will pay attention and look at that information. Ok. On your fliers, you want to make sure you have easy ways for people to get a hold of you, so make sure you repeat this more than once on your document. The top right or the top left are always good places to have that. It's always a good idea to have it at the top also because sometimes people won't go beyond. They'll see your picture or they'll see the title and they just want to contact you. Don't make them look through the whole document. Just have it right there. Let's go to file, new again, look at their fliers. And as you scroll down, there's all kinds of options in there. You'll notice they all have photos because any time you want to create a flier, make sure you're showing people exactly what you need. And let's double click and open up one that's a little bit different. Some of these have circles in the background and different auto shapes. So keep that in mind. All the things that you've learned in the Publisher tutorials with these shapes over here at the left, take advantage of them. Draw your lines to divide up information, to show people that they're in a different section of your document. And draw rectangles and give your specialized information in these certain boxes that will stand out. Another great thing to do, of course, as always, is to go to Office.Microsoft.com, go to their template section, go to the fliers and look at all the great things that they have. Fliers will definitely help your business, will help enhance all kinds of things. Here's a great one that you could even put on top of a resume for a flier. You can put experience and your picture and then put your letter, your cover letter for your resume. Fliers are great ways to get focus and information to your products or to your people or to your business. So take a minute to look at the fliers and build a few for your company and see what you can use them for and market them with. Don't forget to use your content library, utilize all those logos and marketing information that you've already saved in that graphics area.
