Getting He|p / Microsoft Office He|p
Subtitles of the Movie
In this movie, let's take a look at all the assistance options available for Microsoft Publisher. Let's open up Microsoft Publisher and you'll see right away that we have options to get help. Up here at the top right, we can simply click in there and do what it says. If we have questions about creating a newsletter, type that in, hit your enter key and here it will go to the Publisher help window and automatically find you some good information. I'm going to close this window. Now you can click in the box again and type in another topic. If I want to create coupons for my business. And again, I've got lots of good information. I can click on these items. Once I see the information, I can scroll down through it, print it, you know, read through it, whatever that you need to do and of course, you can search for more if that didn't specifically get you what you needed. I'm going to close this. I can also open up a document and then I've still got my box to type a question in for help if I want to do that. I can hit the down arrow in case I had other topics that I'd searched for before to pick those again if I need the information again. I can also click the help menu item to get information. I can click the help button, the little circle there and again that will bring me up the Publisher help window. And I can also do the shortcut key, which is F1. If I press F1, that brings me up the help window. So lots of good options there. Now, once I've got the help window open, hit F1, the little question mark button, whatever I need. I have several options right here. I can browse through the Publisher help topics. These are common things that people need information on. So I can just click through there, select something, click again and I've got more information to read and get help with. When I'm done with that, I can simply click the home button just like on your Internet toolbars and get back to the main window. I can type in a topic in the search box and then you'll notice I can hit the little down arrow here and choose if I just want to look at Publisher templates, maybe Publisher help or if I want to look at Office Online. I can be very specific. Right now I'm just looking at everything. I can hit enter, click search. Again, more topics to look through and read about. Up here you'll notice we have the buttons similar to the Internet. If I hit the back button, it will take back through everything I've been in and forward. I can also hit the stop button. If it's going out there onto Office Online trying to find some information and it just keeps spinning and spinning, hit your stop button, try it again. Usually it'll connect really quickly the second time. Refresh; if you're not sure you're getting the most current information and of course, again, our home button. Here's our print button. If we want to print some information and here we can change the font size. Nice menu there. We can make it larger or smaller. Great on the eyes if we need to. Right here we can show the table of contents. They used to always have help typically this way so if we like the table of contents look, we can do that. If we don't need the table of contents anymore, simply click the button and there we go. The next thing I want to look at is the little thumbtack. Right now if I click that, it keeps it out of my way. Now if I click the thumbtack again, that puts it right there so it stays viewable and now I can go over here to my document, do things and continue to read the help information. So that keep on top little thumbtack there just depends on what you need. Don't forget, you can also use your minimize, maximize and close buttons over there also. So now you know how to search through Publisher help. There's lots of options to get there. So go take a look around, see what things you can learn about right now in the help information and it'll also help you learn some of the terminology in Publishers and review that terminology.
