Printing audience handouts or speaker's notes. When your done with your presentation it's nice to have something that you can take along as a piece of paper, now you may want to start out with a hand out to leave behind for your audience and you may also want to have a set of speaker notes that you can use during your presentation. Let's see how that works, it's actually very simple, let's go over to our Microsoft Office button and what we want to do is print and we're going to get a dialogue box with several options. First of all what we need to do is pick the printer, in this case it's a laser printer, 1200 series, I'm not going to look at any of the properties here, but what we want to do here is look in the print range and we have several options. I can print all the slides, I can print the current slide, the selection, I can also if you go back to our scene on how to create a custom show I can simply select one of the custom shows I created. In this case we only did one and actually print slides from that presentation or that custom show. Then I can also choose specific slides if I want just to print one or two for somebody. But in this case let's work with the custom show. Now here's where we go to our options on what we're going to get, whether we're going to get the slides, handouts, now this are for audience hand outs, so let's take a look at that first and we can show how many slides per page we want on the hand outs, this will vary depending on how much information you have on the slide. And also how much you want to condense per page and we can pick how many slides we want on a page. We go from one all the way up to nine and in this case we'll just work with three and then I can also choose to work in color or grayscale. Now you have to keep this in mind depending on what type if printer you have, in this case I have a simple black and white laser jet printer and how these things are going to be reproduced by copying for the audience I may be better off working in black and white, then grayscale because some of the grays may not print well or be reproduced. I'm going to try pure black and white and then down here we can also change the size. Let's take a look at the preview and here we have a pure black and white look at my slideshow and let's see how everything turned out. So that's what it'll look like as a handout. Now if we want to do the same with some speaker notes for ourselves, we make the same selections up here and then instead of clicking handouts we go with notes pages and now we will have our speaker's notes that we can follow along while we're given our presentation.
