Getting Started / Creating a New Slide
Subtitles of the Movie
Let's take a look at how to create a new slide. At this point, we've started from a blank presentation or an existing presentation. In either case, you're only given the first slide. That's it. Well, to add more slides to your presentation, we need to go to the slides group, right up here in the ribbon, and we have two options with the new slide icon. The first is to simply click the button to create a new slide and we can do this every time we want a slide and we're just given a new slide with the standard slide title container and text container. Pretty vanilla, right? Our second option, if we want to change that up a little bit, is to simply go to the drop-down menu. Now, when you first look at this, you'll think these are connected and one and the same. Actually, it's two different buttons. Click the drop-down menu and we have some options now. Now, we can take a look at the various slide layouts and see what we want to use next, which is a title slide, which is what we are given automatically on our first slide anytime you launch PowerPoint. We have title and content, section header, two content, comparison, title only, picture caption, content and just pure blank and we can also reuse slides from other presentations. So that's how you go about adding new slides to your presentation.
