The last exercise of this chapter has to do with "auto shape shapes". In other words you don't just have lines and connectors, you have all these different types of shapes. I can choose from any one of these like the smiley face. I can click and drag and I have a smiley face. I can change the color of it, I can change the line color and make it look however I want. Do you remember what I told you about these diamonds? - I can make this smiley face a grumpy face. It changes some aspect of that shape. So you have all of these different types of shapes to choose from, and any one that has this yellow diamond, means that I can distort it somehow by clicking and dragging on it. And I can change the color of these just like I can change the color on any other shape, and I have many different types of auto shapes. Some of them like call outs (and I'll get rid of these) allow me to type text on them. So I have my call out, notice I get a blinking cursor, so I can type in text. If you loose that blinking cursor you can do what I just did, by right clicking and choosing edit text and then I can type in whatever I want. And I can format the text however I want, change the color, so I have a call out that looks like this. Notice the yellow diamond, so I can point the call out. Again if I can type something on one of these shapes perhaps the star or banner (I will draw this banner) - if you don't see the blinking cursor you can right click and choose add text and type in whatever you want. And then you can select the text and format it however you like, and there is your text. And I will make mine a little bit bigger so my text fits on it. So that's how your auto shapes work, and they can be formatted anyway that you like. Some of these auto shapes, for example I will draw this lightening bold, they can have shadow effects applied to them or 3D effects. Now it wont work on all of them, but it works on most of them - so you can keep that in mind as well. And that is your drawing tool bar.
