Creating New Presentations / Blank Presentations
Subtitles of the Movie
If you want to create a blank presentation, in other words you are starting from scratch, there is no content, no fixed number of slides, no design, nothing - choose blank presentation. If you ask me it's more fun to do it this way. When you click OK you are going to see a new slide dialog box, and basically Powerpoint wants to know ok what kind of slide you want to start with. Shortly we are going to talk about adding and deleting slides, so you are going to see this dialog box again. These are all of the different kinds of slides that you can put into your presentation When you click on any one of these you will see to the right a little description of what it is - you can even insert movies. But since we are just beginning with a brand new blank presentation, I am going to choose title slide and click OK. When you create a blank presentation this is all you begin with - click to add title, click to add sub-title. Notice, to the left there is no certain number of slides and no text - so you are creating it all from scratch. And in my opinion it is more fun to do it this way. Let me show you how to add some color.
