Now throughout most of this chapter we've been dealing with ways to mostly manage the Inbox, and manage some of the folders, and you've seen how to Archive and things like that. Another, almost I'm adding this to the tips and tricks, so this could go in the last chapter here, but I think we'll put it here; and that is to customize your printing styles. And you can do this with any of your folders here, but I think it's most useful when you're dealing with your Calendar folder. So let's say for example, I really want to take this with me, I want this in a piece of paper, except I also want to kind of combine my Calendar and my Task List, I'd really love to have that and maybe section for notes so I can jot notes and give myself updates on what's going on in my week. Well, you can. And you do that by defining your very own print style. So earlier we have looked at other print styles, so let's see how we can create our own. And again, you can do this for any of the folders, so what I'm showing you here will apply whether you're dealing with a mail item, or a contact, or notes, or tasks; but I think again, you're going to mostly do it when you're printing out a calendar to take with you. By the way, I've got to tell you this as well. That game, that I show you how to add Internet calendars, that was a phenomenal game. If anybody saw that, that Phoenix Dallas game on Wednesday the 14th of March, it as incredible. Double overtime, three pointer at the buzzer to tie it. Anyway So let's print this calendar out here shall we. Here's how to do it. Go to your File menu, now what you want to do is Page Setup, then you can choose from one of these styles here: Daily Style, Weekly, Tri-fold, etc., but here is the option we want, Define Print Styles. Now you can create your very own print styles. And what I recommend here, now notice there's an Edit button here, so you can take the monthly style, and edit it. But what I recommend is that you copy one that's already there. So let's take the Weekly Style, let's copy it, and then we will give it our very own name: My Weekly Calendar. Now, what kind of paper are we going to print it on, you can choose the paper type, so maybe this will be something that will be put into a binder. But the important one here, and of course you can add Headers and Footers, but the important one, the one we want to focus on, is this format. And here's where it really gets cool. You can arrange your days top to bottom, or left to right, as you can see here. Your layout can be one page a week, or two pages a week, so there you have your days. You can add a notes area that's lined, or a notes area that's blank. Do you only want to print the workdays, or do you want to print everything. If you're doing left to right you can also say I only want to print from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or whatever, 8 a.m. to let's just say 9 p.m. So once you have your settings here, you can preview this, and then there we go. There's page one of two, let's see if we can put these side by side, there we go. So now I can print this out, and here's what I get. I get my calendar that looks like this, so this is almost exactly the same view that we just saw. So there's my task list for the week, there's a notes section. And I can take this with me. Let's just close it, and we can go back and alter, let's go back to our Page Setup, Define Print Styles. Where's the one that we created, My Weekly Calendar, and a little highlight of what it might look like. Let's edit it, and let's change our mind. Top to bottom, one page a week, notes area lined, and let's only print workdays. Print Preview, bingo. So there's our schedule, there's our tasks, there's our notes. What we've done of course, is we've created a custom print style. Close it out, and we're off to the races. Now if we ever want to go back here and change these print styles, we can certainly select a weekly calendar that we created, and we can delete it. And if you have not taken my advice for example, if you've taken the weekly style and you've edited it, you changed the daily style or the monthly style; you can click on reset, and it will change it back. So keep those two management factors in mind, is that sure you can edit the daily style or the weekly, and the fact that I did make a few changes before I copied, but there's always a reset button. Can you do this by the way? Can you delete a monthly style, one of the built in styles? No you cannot. Notice that you only have the delete option when you have copied an existing style and created your own.
