Web Design Basics / Selecting Location
Subtitles of the Movie
Once you have selected your publishing option, you will need to determine a location for your website. You will need to do this regardless of whether or not you will be publishing your website immediately to the Internet or publishing it offline. If you have not yet determined a hosting location, you will need to first of all sign up for a web hosting service with an ISP (which is an Internet Service Provider or also known as a web presence provider or WPP). You can find a local provider by entering and visiting the Microsoft website, where you will be able to locate local providers in your area. It is extremely important when you are checking out service providers, that they are able to host FrontPage server extensions. Most web serving companies are able to do this. However, it's important that you do double-check this. If you've determined your web hosting provider already, all you have to do is enter your URL (which stands for Uniform Resource Locator), or in other words that is the website address that appears in the search box when you type it in. You simply have to have this ready when it comes time to publish your site. Keep in mind that you can test and view many of your web pages before you publish to a server. server.
