Subtitles of the Movie

In this movie, let's talk about some premade tables called Layout Tables. You can create and arrange Table Layouts easily by using the Task Pane for that specific item. And with those Layout Tables we can draw the layouts for them, we can use premade layouts to save us a lot of time and we can draw new cells in basically arbitrary locations. So let's bring up a new document here and let's go to our Task Pane and let's bring up Layout Tables and here it is. You'll see we can just choose the Draw Layout Table, so we can draw the layout on our document; very easy and simple to do there. And we can also do Insert Layout Table. It's inserted it onto our document, automatically put the width and the height in there. I can go down here on the Table Properties and switch that if I want to; very easy to do. I'm going to pull that out of there. Now, the other thing I wanted you to look at were these options down here at the bottom. See these premade Table Layouts? Very nice and easy to work with. You don't have to mess with anything if it's already made. Just scroll down through those and take a look at all of your options. This one, you'll notice it's already in here. I've got a top area, I've got a left area, probably for navigation, some middle there for some text and a bottom area maybe there for the footer or additional contact information; nice and easy to use. Again, I can change the properties right here if I want to. The alignments, if I don't like where it's aligned at I can change that right there. So let's go up here and let's just type what we might want in there. We could use that as a title area, the menu area, text-based area and let's say this is additional contact information. That gives us the basic layout. Then we can start working with that. Now, if we need to, if we want to divide this up so we can put the logo over here and then maybe our text over here, we can use the Split Cells and click OK. Now I can use this area for the logo and the title over there; very nice and easy to do. You have all your options. You can do columns above, rows to the left, right, whatever you need to do for that. One of the things we haven't looked at is the vertical alignment. If I click in this menu area, it's center-lined right now, but if I want to put it at the top, I can plop it up there at the top if I want to; nice and easy to work with. I can use the Table Auto Format options. I can use my Paint Bucket and fill it with different colors. I've got more Fill Color options if I need them and again, I could type in the value if I have the value. Now, when I select areas, you'll notice that it has sizing handles around it. I can move those around. You can also see that it's got the width and the height right there. So I can work with those if I need to. But overall, Layout Tables are really nice. They're already premade and you can easily just throw things in where you need them. You can split things up still if you need to do that too. So take a minute, go view the Layout Tables Task Pane and grab one of their layouts and just kind of play around with it.
