When executing the print command there are several options to choose from. When you are ready to print, the print command can be accessed in one of two ways. Clicking on the printer button on the toolbar will send a single copy of this printout to the default printer. No options will be available for you to select from. To get to the printing options, go to the file menu and select the print command here or use the keystroke, control and the letter P. This will open a dialog box which allows you to select, first of all different printers. If your computer is configured to print to more than one printer, they will be listed in a list here. Make sure you've selected the printer you intend to print from. You can also designate a print range. If you checked in print preview how many pages the printout will consume, you can then type in a range of pages from a certain number to a certain number, or you can designate all pages to print. Under print what, active sheets is selected by default. This means that only our bills sheet will print in this case, since it is currently the active sheet. You can also simply select an area of the cells by clicking and dragging over top of them and then choose selection here, and only the selected cells on the sheet will print. You can also select entire workbook and Excel will printout every sheet that has data on it in the workbook. On the right side of the screen is the number of copies. You can change this to a higher or lower number, and then as you select multiple copies. If Excel senses that there is more than one page in the printout you can choose to correlate these copies as well. Right now this command is grey since I only have one page in my printout. A preview button is available in the print screen so that you can go and look at the preview of the printout before printing. This is the same as clicking on the print preview button or using the print preview command in the file menu. Note the printout is still set up the way it was from the previous exercise. When you finish with print preview you can click close. Note, that you can also print right from the preview screen using this print button. A dialog box will appear indicating that it's printing. n using this print button. A dialog box will appear indicating that it's printing.
