Introduction / Formula Bar
Subtitles of the Movie
The next area of the Excel screen is called the formula bar and name box. The name box shows you the name of the cell that is currently selected on the worksheet. You'll see a dark box around cell A1. As I click in another cell in the worksheet area, cell C5 becomes highlighted and appears in the name box. This is a good way to register your position on a worksheet as you're working. Across from this is an equal sign and then a large white space called the formula bar. You'll see as I begin to enter information into the cell, that information will also appear up in the formula bar area. This becomes very important when once you actually enter into a cell, such as a formula - its appearing differently in the contents of the spread sheet. We'll talk about this a little bit later. lk about this a little bit later.
